Michael Bowen
Michael Bowen received his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2021 and his J.D. from Campbell University School of Law in 2025.
Mr. Bowen’s practice focuses on all aspects of local government and land use law. He represents both public and private clients, and is admitted to practice in the State Courts of North Carolina.
During law school, Mr. Bowen served as a Senior Comments Editor for the Campbell Law Review. There, he assisted students and attorneys in editing their writings for publication. Mr. Bowen also externed for the Honorable Judge Allegra Collins on the North Carolina Court of Appeals. In that role, he analyzed legal arguments, researched and applied laws necessary to issue a judgment, and wrote preliminary drafts for judicial opinions. Mr. Bowen also spent both law school summers with a firm in Asheville, North Carolina. There, he gained experience in land use law, pretrial litigation, and appellate advocacy. Mr. Bowen also externed with North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities, where he assisted with general counsel matters and government relations objectives. Mr. Bowen also completed a pro bono expunction project and the McIntyre-Whichard Legal Fellows Program.
Prior to law school, Mr. Bowen interned in the United States House of Representatives and then in the White House. He also served as a legal research assistant for a UNC Law professor.
